New Concepts of internationalization of Spanish ICT Companies



Reserchers José Molero, Ruth Rama, Celia Torrecillas, Inés Granda and Bruno B. Fischer, are working on analyzing the situation of internationalization of Spanish ICT companies, paying particular attention to technological aspects, recognizing the crucial role they have on the competitive framework. This study is based on an approach that combines international exploitation of locally developed technology, international technological cooperation and decentralization in R&D.

Economics of assembly 20 +20


José Molero, Inés Granda, Jaime Laviña, Paloma Centenera are currently working on the project Economics of assembly 20 +20 aiming at identifying and analyzing twenty business experiences linked to the successful integration of knowledge, based on the values of the New Economy, sustainability, creativity, transparency, participation, responsibility, commitment and technology can be exported to rest of the production system. The project is being developed for the School of Industrial Organization (EOI). As of 14th of November, 2011, it was officially presented to the public.

The economic value of innovation in the sectors of energy and health


Researchers Jose Molero, José Miguel Natera,   Javier  Portela and Paloma Centenera, jointly with the Obsservatory of Technological Prospective (OPTI), have undertaken a study that aims at estimating the differences in the evolution of productivity and employment in the sectors of energy and health in relation to the technological effort that has developed in Spain.


This novel approach encompasses a new methodological approximation  to sector definition mixed with qualitative information built with highly experienced R&D managers, scholars and policy making related people.

Economic Development and Technological Innovation in Spain in an International Changing Scenario

Prof. José Molero has issued a series of lectures at universities and research centers of China on the topic: "Economic Development and Technological Innovation in Spain in an International Changing Scenario ".
The cycle has taken place between 11 and 24 March in the following locations:

PhD Student José Miguel Natera has spent one month at the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs, in Oslo, to work jointly with PhD. Fulvio Castellacci on empirical analysis of National Innovation Systems.
